Tiger Moth.

This model was for a TV series about the original flying doctor. The tiger moth gets caught in a storm and the engine explodes. The plane then crashes.

We are working on setting up the start of the destruction. It was done a little bit at a time over the shoot.

I was working on another project and was asked to make this model with only a few weeks to do it in.

I knew the people well and did a lot of work for them, so I accepted. To do the job in the time I went for a radio control model and heavily detailed it.

The shots were to be in a storm so I knew that I could get away with a lot to get the job done.

We ended up burning, crashing and exploding the model over the shoot duration. This is what I took home at the end of it. It was a lot of fun.
